Internal Audit Internship at Brown University, Providence, RI

COMMENT by PROFESSOR GRIFFIN:

This is an awesome opportunity.  I would love to see a CCB student land this one!  We had a student there last year and it was a very good experience.  Positive feedback.  How great would it be to have internal audit experience on your resume and at a historic Ivy League school.  Downtown Providence is not that far away and Providence is a great city to work in.  I worked there for 5 years (many moons ago). If you think internal audit could be for you, I suggest you apply immediately.  be sure to put your best foot forward.  Have your resume in good order.  If you need help, please visit our Career Development Center (behind UMASS PASS).  You can also get some tips on how to prepare for interviews.  We have a new director, associate director, and internship director at the UMD Career Development Center and the energy level is high there.  However, if you are ready, please submit your resume TODAY!  This is paid!  In an internal audit position, every day is different.  Terrific learning experiences. Internal auditors see many aspects of an operation and therefore are great candidates for promotion.  Many top executives began their careers as internal auditors.  However, if you enjoy it and want to stay in internal auditing, the possibilities there are also great and the CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) is a very valuable credential.

Professor Michael P. Griffin, CPA (and a former internal auditor!)
